A moth's memory

Hello my victims!..OH EM GEE IT'S FRICKIN' COLD OUT THERE.What I mean is that there's a lot of ice around my backyard and that doesn't happen too often in Austin so uggghhhhhhhh.Anyways,on to something completely different,a few years ago some scientists did a test on tobacco hornworm caterpillars. They put one in a Y-shaped tube, and in one of the Y's branches there was a mix of particular odors that affected the caterpillars with a mild electric shock.Scientists at Georgetown University trained the caterpillars to avoid the odors. When they hatched out of their cocoons as moths, the moths also avoided the odors, proving that the larval memory was still intact. In other words, they REMEMBERED what they had done as a larva.Pretty damn awesome.Excuse me for swearing.Bye<3<3
